Veteran actor Dilip Kumar left for his heavenly abode on Wednesday morning at the age of 98, after a prolonged illness. His tragic demise left the entire film industry in deep shock and grief. Right from honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi to eminent personalities from the Hindi film industry, South industry and sports fraternity, heartfelt tributes poured in from every corner. Now, reality shows are gearing up to give special tribute to Dilip Kumar.
Tonight’s episode of Indian Idol 12 will see the judges and the contestants remembering the late actor and celebrating his work. A promo video of the same has been shared by Sony TV on its Twitter handle. The video shows Anu Malik along with other contestants singing Dilip’s iconic song Suhana Safar with his stills from the movie being displayed on the screen.
Himesh Reshammiya can be heard saying in the video, “This week we have lost the biggest legend and pillar of the film industry Dilip Sahab. Today we all are missing him. His body of work will always remain with us and it will keep inspiring us forever.”

Earlier, in an interview with SpotboyE.com, Shabana Azmi remembered the legendary superstar and said we “must mourn Dilip Saab we should celebrate him.” She was quoted saying, “He had the good grace to be very respectful to poets and would attend many mushairas to honour them. Unknown to him I was his Eklavya and learned so much from him not only as an actor but also as the person he was. We must not mourn Dilip Saab we should celebrate him.”
